Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of complex electrical, electronic, and low-voltage systems in institutional environments
- Advanced knowledge of fire alarm and life-safety systems under the North Carolina Fire Code and NFPA 72
- Workking knowledge of DDC/building automation systems and system integration
- Knowledge of fiber-optic systems, termination methods, and testing principles
- Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 72, OSHA regulations, and university safety policies
Skills
- Advanced troubleshooting of multi-system electrical and life-safety failures
- Supervising skilled trades staff andd coordinating contractor activities
- Interpreting complex drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, and as-built documentation
- Applying lockout/tagout, arc-flash mitigation, and life-safety testing protocols
- Maintaining detailed compliance documentation and CMMS records
7 or more years of progressively responsible electrical trade experience
3 or more years of supervisory or lead electrician experience.
Position is Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM in Greensboro, NC.
