Maintain a valid Occupational Therapy degree and New York State licensure in good standing.

Assess individuals’ functional abilities, limitations, and needs to promote independence in daily living and vocational activities.

Develop, organize, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and rehabilitative programs.

Provide therapeutic interventions to improve self-care, homemaking, work-related skills, and overall functional independence.

Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and rehabilitation team meetings.

Complete medical necessity reviews for highly complex durable medical equipment (DME), supplies, and occupational therapy services when required.

Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress; modify treatment plans and goals as needed.

Educate individuals, families, and caregivers on adaptive strategies, equipment use, and therapeutic activities.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and program standards.
