Medical Secretary

Your Tasks
  • Administrative Support

    • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries in a professional manner.

    • Greet and assist patients and visitors at the reception desk.

    • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, and medical documents.

  • Scheduling & Records

    • Schedule patient appointments, medical tests, and follow-ups.

    • Maintain and update patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

    • File, retrieve, and manage medical documents securely and in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.

  • Billing & Insurance

    • Process patient billing, invoices, and receipts.

    • Verify insurance information and handle pre-authorizations.

    • Liaise with insurance providers regarding claims and coverage questions.

  • Office Operations

    • Order and maintain office and medical supplies.

    • Coordinate physician calendars, meetings, and travel if required.

    • Ensure compliance with hospital or clinic policies and healthcare regulations.


Our requirements
  • Proven experience as a secretary, administrative assistant, or in a medical office role.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
